Strong is the New Skinny

STRONG IS THE NEW SKINNY.

I don't remember when I first saw this statement but it has changed my life.

At 20 years old and 110#, I could not get up a beginner-level climbing wall.  Skinny never felt worse.

Then one day about 5 years later, I military-pressed a 35# kettlebell.  15 times.   Strong has never felt more amazing.

I live by this now.  I hear it in the fitness community.  I see it on t-shirts and tank tops worn by women, like me, who value their strength.  I encourage you to stop and re-check your goals.  Strong?  or Skinny?
